REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Full time

Job Summary:

The Women’s Home Preservation is looking for a business development manager  who is passionate about making an impact in underinvested communities. This role will give you exposure to community revitalization strategies and you will be empowered to develop real estate projects that will make a long lasting impact in Baltimore City and beyond. You will learn how capital can be deployed for social impact. You will develop and implement the company’s real estate development projects. The candidate will work very closely with the CEO and team of architects, engineers, lawyers, lenders, etc.

You are a bright, energetic, self-starter professional with proven experience in real estate development, pro forma modeling, project management and more.

Company Profile:

The Women’s Home Preservation is a mission-driven real estate development firm dedicated to transforming structurally disinvested communities with a focus on creating edifying housing for women who are heads of households (single mothers, widows). We purchase vacant properties that create blight in communities and we redevelop them into mixed-use commercial and residential properties. Our commercial rehabilitations fill the amenity gaps in our communities (café, hardware stores, art galleries, etc), while our residential rehabilitations create high-end energy efficient and resilient homes that drastically transform the health of our communities.

Our approach is to restore the social and cultural rather than the built environment only. For this reason, we co-create with the community. Working hand in hand with a community, we bring about projects of scale and significance to force a paradigm shift in one’s view of a community. Where one would expect another small rehab, we bring on the power of our high-caliber partners to execute on our bold and transformative visions. Concurrently with the built activities, we work with the community to develop the cultural, political, and socioeconomic dimensions of our projects.

We are proud to have the support of national and global leaders including Gensler, Whiting-Turner, RK&K, RCM&D, CohnReznick, Wells Fargo and more.
